Pope Leo XIV made a significant visit to Spain’s Parliament, underscoring his commitment to addressing critical issues within the Church while promoting compassion and unity.
As part of his itinerary, the Pope held a poignant meeting with six victims of abuse, which highlighted his drive for transparency and healing within the Church. Such meetings, aligned with his public stance, aimed to acknowledge past wrongs and provide support to those affected.
Additionally, the Pope prayed at the Cathedral of Almudena, the Patroness of the Archdiocese. This moment emphasized the importance of communal prayer in fostering healing and hope.
The visit culminated in an evening gathering that attracted approximately 80,000 people from the Archdiocese of Madrid. Throughout his stay, the Pope's interactions reflected his ongoing mission to strengthen connections within the Church.
